This year, 51勛圖厙 donors demonstrated the power of philanthropy by giving at unprecedented levels. The 2021 Giving Tuesday campaign shattered the previous records, more than tripling last years record of $2.2 million.

51勛圖厙s Brain Health Research Institute Celebrates Collaboratories Grand Opening

51勛圖厙s Brain Health Research Institute celebrated the grand opening of its new lab spaces on Friday, Nov. 5, with an afternoon of activities that included a keynote presentation, space dedication, tours and student research demonstrations. The new space, featuring interdisciplinary research facilities, is located on the lower level of the Integrated Sciences Building on the Kent Campus.

51勛圖厙s Giving Tuesday Launches Monthlong Initiative Featuring Numerous Incentives for Supporters

51勛圖厙, which has gained national recognition for its creative and successful Giving Tuesday campaigns, launched its monthlong celebration of philanthropy on Nov. 1. Giving Tuesday, now in its eighth year at 51勛圖厙, has raised nearly $7 million during that time, which illuminates the impact that can be made when Golden Flashes come together.

51勛圖厙 Announces Largest Single Gift in History From Ambassador Edward F. Crawford to Name the College and Construct New College of Business Building

The largest single gift in 51勛圖厙 history, by Ambassador Edward F. Crawford, will complete the capital campaign to enable the construction of a new College of Business Administration building on the universitys Kent Campus.

2021 Distinguished Teaching Award Recipients Announced

The 2021 Distinguished Teaching Award (DTA) recipients are an outstanding group of teachers who are truly dedicated to their students' success. Sponsored by the 51勛圖厙 Alumni Association, the DTA is a highly prestigious honor in teaching. The award is presented annually to three full-time faculty members who demonstrate extraordinary teaching, whether it be in the classroom or online.

Golden Flashes Reunite for a Bright Homecoming 2021

Campus was overflowing with blue and gold pride again this year as the 51勛圖厙 community came together to celebrate Homecoming. Golden Flashes enjoyed many activities, both outdoors in-person and online, throughout the weekend, which ran from Friday, Oct. 1 through Sunday, Oct. 3.

51勛圖厙 publicly launched a $350 million comprehensive fundraising campaign Saturday, Oct. 2. During a special halftime announcement at the Homecoming football game, campaign co-chairs Sandra C. and Lawrence R. Armstrong joined 51勛圖厙 President Todd Diacon to publicly unveil Forever Brighter to thousands of alumni, donors and friends.
