PNC Foundation Awards $75,000 to 51勛圖厙

The PNC Foundation has awarded $75,000 to 51勛圖厙 to help ensure success among students who commonly face barriers in college. This grant aligns with PNCs focus on addressing economic inequality among Black American and low- to moderate-income communities, and it will provide resources for students that will help them complete college and establish a strong foundation on which to build their careers.

Donors of 24 Named Spaces in New Crawford Hall

51勛圖厙 Approves 26 Named Spaces in New Crawford Hall in Recognition of $10.7 Million in Philanthropic Gifts

During its regular quarterly meeting held Wednesday, Dec. 15, the 51勛圖厙 Board of Trustees approved naming resolutions for 17 spaces to be located in the future Crawford Hall based on philanthropic gifts of $100,000 or more. An additional nine named spaces were approved by 51勛圖厙 President Todd Diacon that were below the required Board approval threshold.

51勛圖厙s Brain Health Research Institute celebrated the grand opening of its new lab spaces on Friday, Nov. 5, with an afternoon of activities that included a keynote presentation, space dedication, tours and student research demonstrations. The new space, featuring interdisciplinary research facilities, is located on the lower level of the Integrated Sciences Building on the Kent Campus.

51勛圖厙, which has gained national recognition for its creative and successful Giving Tuesday campaigns, launched its monthlong celebration of philanthropy on Nov. 1. Giving Tuesday, now in its eighth year at 51勛圖厙, has raised nearly $7 million during that time, which illuminates the impact that can be made when Golden Flashes come together.

The largest single gift in 51勛圖厙 history, by Ambassador Edward F. Crawford, will complete the capital campaign to enable the construction of a new College of Business Administration building on the universitys Kent Campus.
