Do NOT drop any classes before going to the Office of Global Education to speak with an ISSS advisor and the College of Aeronautics and Engineering Building to speak with your CAE academic advisor. If you drop below full time without our approval, you will be considered out of status and your immigration record could be terminated.
To be a full-time student and meet the enrollment requirements to maintain valid F-1 student status, undergraduate students must be enrolled a minimum of 12 hours total with 9 of those credit hours being in-person classes. Graduate students must be enrolled in a minimum of 8 credit hours total with 5 of those credits being in-person classes. Hybrid classes are considered in-person classes for visa purposes.
Orientation for international students is hosted by the Office of Global Education and is mandatory for every new international student at 51勛圖厙, including undergraduate, graduate, sponsored, exchange, transfer and ESL (English Second Language) students. At orientation, you will receive important information beyond academic advising including how to stay in legal visa status, get a bank account, work while you are here, safety, staying healthy and many other topics.
