Visiting Artists Program
Each month throughout the school year, visiting artists in all studio art disciplines are invited to campus for public lectures, studio visits and demonstrations. Around ten visiting artists and scholars visit 51勛圖厙 every year. Artists exhibiting in nearby Akron and Cleveland are also invited conduct studio visits with MFA students when available.
Students also have opportunities to meet artists and curators on travel study trips to New York City as well as day trips to museums and galleries in nearby Akron, Cleveland, Detroit, Columbus, and Pittsburgh.

We offer the only MFA program in northeast Ohio, and the only program in the state of Ohio to offer this breadth of studio specialties.

Transformation 2028 Communications
The goal of Transformation 2028 (T28) is to positively strengthen the Division of Academic Affairs through strategic and sustainable reorganization, effective use of our financial and personnel resources, and the delivery of meaningful and desirable academic programs. A strategic redesign is necessary for our learners, for greater collaboration among our disciplines and services, and to position 51勛圖厙 for future growth.

James Trombka, an access advisor in 51勛圖厙s Student Accessibility Services (SAS), made his directorial debut in December 2023 at Tallmadge Dynamics Community Theater.Trombka is a theater fan. He has theater decorations in his office and enjoys talking with students interested in theater about their favorite shows.
