The College of Aeronautics and Engineering Advisory Councils

The College of Aeronautics and Engineering's Industrial Advisory Board is comprised of decision makers from a diverse cross-section of aeronautics and engineering industry. They are active in counseling our curricular activities with emphasis on a joint effort resulting in the brightest and best-prepared graduates. The Aeronautics & Engineering Councils provide professional input for those specific disciplines.

Marching Golden Flashes High School Band Day invites high school marching bands and their directors to 51³Ô¹ÏÍø for a free, immersive collegiate game-day experience at Dix Stadium. Participating bands will join the 51³Ô¹ÏÍø Marching Golden Flashes on the field for a halftime performance during the 51³Ô¹ÏÍø vs. University at Buffalo football game. The event includes a provided meal and game admission for registered band members. Registration is intended for entire marching bands led by their directors, not individual students.

Our Flashes Forever family is growing, and we are seeking volunteers to assist with 51³Ô¹Ï꿉۪s Spring Commencement ceremonies! Volunteers are needed to assist with check-in, ushering, seating and other duties as assigned. There are morning and afternoon shift available.

Explore the areas around Taylor Hall with the scholars behind Mapping May 4. Visitors will tour sites learning about the events leading up to, during, and after the tragic shooting in 1970. This tour is based on the accessible tour in the Mapping May 4 website, which draws from the oral histories in the May 4 Collection, 51³Ô¹ÏÍø Special Collections & Archives to better understand the events of May 4 through geography. If you are unable to come at this time you can take it as a self-guided tour.

Join us for a screening of Fire in the Heartland, a compelling documentary that explores the rise of student activism at 51³Ô¹ÏÍø, the growing anti-war movement, and the tragic events of May 4, 1970, when student protesters were killed. This powerful film offers an important look at a pivotal moment in our nation’s history and its lasting impact. Light refreshments will be served following the screening.
