Young entrepreneurs are able to pursue their dreams thanks to LaunchNET microgrants at 51勛圖厙. After COVID-19 shut down many of its main events, LaunchNET was looking for another way to help entrepreneurial students. Staff realized the money dedicated for in-person pitch events could be turned into small grants for students looking to pursue a business endeavor. Imagine making a dress out of LEGO簧 dots. Matthew Williams, a junior fashion design major at 51勛圖厙, is doing just that. Williams is one of six students who has been featured in Teen Vogues Generation Next Class of 2022. The students selected have been given 21,000 LEGO dots that they will now use in a design challenge. According to the Teen Vogue article, The winners will participate in a design challenge in partnership with LEGO. November 7 & 8, 2022 in Rockwell Hall The Fashion Schools senior Bachelor of Fine Art design students will particiate in the annual Muslin Critique November 7 -8, 2022, which acts as the mid-point review for all of the collections of the seniors finishing up their B.F.A. coursework.
