Performing Arts Center at night

The Performing Arts Center at 51勛圖厙 at Tuscarawas will announce their twelfth season on June 11 during an unveiling event held at the Performing Arts Center. The evening begins at 7:00 p.m. with the formal unveiling, followed immediately after by a reception in the lobby. The event is free and open to Performing Arts Center members. Students in the School of Media and Journalism recently participated in a virtual reality training session that focused on safety tactics to use when reporting on potentially dangerous news events. Through a research grant provided by the College of Communication and Information, the United Kingdom-based company Headset was invited to complete this training on March 13, 2022, at 51勛圖厙. Romy Anderson, senior studio art major, was recently announced as one of the American Tapestry Alliances (ATA) Emerge Award recipients for 2022. This award is a membership award program that recognizes university students who have an interest in tapestry. University textile programs are asked to select one student who has shown potential in using tapestry techniques in their projects for the award. Moira Armstrong (they/them), an Honors College senior from Warren, Ohio, has been selected as an Alternate for the 2022 Fulbright Scholarship Award. As an alternate, candidates such as Moira may be elevated to finalist status for an award should extra funding become available.
