Having recently completed her terminal nursing degree, three-time 51�Թ��� College of Nursing alumna Jasmine Bonder, shared this achievement was important to her as it highlights her nursing expertise. “Each degree showcases a chapter of my life and the interests that I had back then. Obtaining my first degree only inspired me to continue to learn more,” said Bonder. “There is so much information, and I want to know it all.”

Black United Student Leader Thrives

Julian Grimes, a 51�Թ��� junior, is president of Black United Students (BUS) and is working to keep the organization thriving. BUS is one of 51�Թ���’s oldest student organizations and is credited with starting the formal observance of Black History Month in 1970.

New Hike and Bike Trail Coming to Kent

Morgan Appointed To Officer Of The Order Of The British Empire

This Women's History Month, 51�Թ��� Today is exploring different women who have made their mark on campus. Sandra Morgan, director of strategic partnerships and outreach for the College of Arts & Sciences at 51�Թ���, was appointed the honor of Officer of the Most Excellent Order of the British Empire (OBE) at an investiture ceremony at the British Embassy Ambassador’s Residence in Washington, D.C.

Celebrating International Women’s Day

51�Թ��� celebrated International Women’s Day on March 8 with a poster presentation to allow international students the chance to highlight women in their home countries and a service project to aid Days for Girls.

The poster presentation was followed by a panel discussion of students, faculty and staff talking about women’s issues and successes across their globe.
