If youre looking for a rodent to give a weather prediction in Kent, you may have to ask one of our ubiquitous black squirrels. Groundhogs hibernate over winter, entering a dormant state in late fall and typically not emerging until late winter or early spring weeks after Groundhog Day.
The days forecast for the morning of Feb. 2 in Kent calls for cloudy weather. So, any black squirrels who are scurrying around campus are not likely to see their shadows. (Yay, early spring?)
