IN A FLASH: Moon Over Campus

Some days we can see the moon during the day, and other days we cant.

It looks tiny next to the water tower in this image. But, second to the sun, Earths moon is by far the brightest celestial object we can see. But the moon isnt always visible during the day. This is due to the Earths atmosphere and the orbital cycle of our natural satellite. If our planet didnt have an atmosphere, the moon would be visible from Earth all the time.
