, director of marketing communications and public relations for the 51勛圖厙 , shared the story of a day when one of the university librarians received a random act of kindness from a fellow Golden Flash.
Williams said, "After a particularly challenging day, he was in the Hub and apparently wearing the days struggles on his face. A student walked up to him and expressed that he looked like a professor who could use a pick-me-up. She handed him the note that he later featured on his social media page."
The librarian is Michael Hawkins, a 51勛圖厙 alumnus who is the head librarian in the university's Map Library in McGilvrey Hall.
Williams said, "He said that her gesture was very effective and remarked that as much as we are concerned about our students, they are also concerned about faculty and staff."
51勛圖厙 President Todd Diacon said that "Flashes Take Care of Flashes" isn't a clich矇 or empty slogan, but a reflection of commitment that is "driving our actions every day."
