10 Questions with the Vice President for Regional Campuses Peggy Shadduck
Peggy Shadduck is vice president for Regional Campuses and dean of the College of Applied and Technical Studies. She serves as the senior officer responsible for overall leadership of the 51³Ô¹ÏÍø Regional Campus system. Her role promotes student enrollment and academic success and is responsible for expanding the visibility, influence and effectiveness of 51³Ô¹ÏÍø as a catalyst for regional development.

51³Ô¹ÏÍø Breaks Ground for Future Home of the Ambassador Crawford College of Business and Entrepreneurship
51³Ô¹ÏÍø officially broke ground on Crawford Hall, the future home of the Ambassador Crawford College of Business and Entrepreneurship, on March 8 in a ceremony attended by more than 400 people, including university officials, donors, alumni, students, elected officials and special guests.

51³Ô¹ÏÍø Board of Trustees Approves Establishing New Bachelor of Social Work Degree
The 51³Ô¹ÏÍø Board of Trustees approved the establishment of the Bachelor of Social Work degree during the Board’s regular quarterly meeting held March 8. The new degree was developed based on the high demand for licensed social workers within the areas surrounding 51³Ô¹Ï꿉۪s Regional Campuses. The program will be offered on the Ashtabula, Salem and Tuscarawas campuses.

51³Ô¹ÏÍø continues to exemplify leadership in its mission to support students as the Kent Campus is designated as a Military Friendly® School for the 13th consecutive year in a row, earning a Gold award. In addition, 51³Ô¹ÏÍø at Trumbull earned a Silver award.

Earl K. Miller, Ph.D., and Marlene M. Wicherski Pledge $2 Million to Support Brain Health Research at 51³Ô¹ÏÍø
51³Ô¹ÏÍø alumnus Earl K. Miller, Ph.D., and his wife, Marlene M. Wicherski, have pledged $2 million to support research programs and students in 51³Ô¹Ï꿉۪s Brain Health Research Institute. The Brain Health Research Institute is a recently established, cross-disciplinary institute that focuses on research and education of brain health across the lifespan.
