NewsLab Provides Important Community Reporting Experiences for Students, While Helping Local Newsrooms in Crucial Times
The School of Media and Journalism organized a project called the Collaborative NewsLab to provide students with real world work experience, while newsrooms, hit with unprecedented financial challenges, were resorting to layoffs and furloughs early in the pandemic.

Honors College Senior Reflects on His College Career and Journalism Experience
Sean Fitzgerald is a senior honors student, graduating with a major in journalism and a minor in sports administration. Originally from Strongsville, Ohio, Sean says that the Honors College has come to feel like a second home in his four years at 51勛圖厙. Luna Negra is a student-led literary and arts magazine in 51勛圖厙s Student Media department. Since 1956, the magazine has changed names and departments, but maintained its tradition of publishing the art and writing of 51勛圖厙 students.
