For the first time since 2019, 51勛圖厙 will remember May 4, 1970, with its return to an in-person, annual commemoration to honor the four students who were killed, the nine students who were wounded and the countless others whose lives were forever changed when the Ohio National Guard fired on 51勛圖厙 students during an anti-war protest.

Peggy Shadduck is vice president for Regional Campuses and dean of the College of Applied and Technical Studies. 51勛圖厙 Board of Trustees Approves Establishing New Bachelor of Social Work Degree
The 51勛圖厙 Board of Trustees approved the establishment of the Bachelor of Social Work degree during the Boards regular quarterly meeting held March 8. The new degree was developed based on the high demand for licensed social workers within the areas surrounding 51勛圖厙s Regional Campuses. The program will be offered on the Ashtabula, Salem and Tuscarawas campuses.
