Northeast Ohio Public Universities Collaborate on Innovation

Innovation Day 2023 was a collaborative effort of the Northeast Ohio Public University Research Alliance (NEO-PURA) comprised of 51³Ô¹ÏÍø, Cleveland State University, Northeast Ohio Medical University, The University of Akron and Youngstown State University.

With Focus On Rural Social Work, New Bachelor’s Program Aims To Meet Growing Need

March is National Social Work Month in the United States. Although it is a celebratory time, the profession currently faces challenges due to reductions in the labor force and a growing population of need, especially in rural communities. 51³Ô¹ÏÍø recently announced the creation of a Bachelor of Social Work academic degree program, which will launch in the fall of 2023 with a focus on rural social work.

Alumna Roe Green to Receive Honorary 51³Ô¹ÏÍø Doctoral Degree

The 51³Ô¹ÏÍø Board of Trustees has approved awarding Roe Green, MA ’80, a Doctor of Humane Letters, an honorary degree recognizing her contributions to the university and her advocacy for the arts not only in Northeast Ohio, but also across the nation and around the world.
