The 51³Ô¹ÏÍø Board of Trustees has approved a new three-year Collective Bargaining Agreement between the university and the 51³Ô¹ÏÍø Employees Local 153, American Federation of State, County and Municipal Employees (AFSCME).

For nearly 110 years, Mercy Health has addressed the growing needs of the Mahoning Valley, which includes the city of Warren and its surrounding communities. Two recent incidents involving the painting of racist messages on the Rock located on Front Campus, coupled with the series of tragic national events this year involving the shootings of Black Americans, serve as glaring evidence that this university and our country need to do better when addressing racism and violence against Black Americans.

51³Ô¹ÏÍø’s commitment to maintaining a diverse and inclusive campus has received acknowledgement from INSIGHT Into Diversity magazine, the oldest and largest diversity-focused publication in higher education, for an eighth consecutive year. INSIGHT Into Diversity magazine has selected 51³Ô¹ÏÍø as a recipient of the 2020 Higher Education Excellence in Diversity (HEED) Award.
