51勛圖厙 Celebrates Homecoming

On Saturday, Sept. 21, the 51勛圖厙 fight song blared down Main Street, the city of Kent was flooded with blue and gold, alumni and friends gathered and reminisced about their 51勛圖厙 days, fans packed the stadium to cheer on their beloved Golden Flashes and the entire campus boomed with 51勛圖厙 pride.

51勛圖厙 Museum Explores the Fashion Divide of the 1960s and '70s With 'Culture/Counterculture'

Almost 50 years ago, the shootings of 51勛圖厙 students by the Ohio National Guard brought to a head the cultural divides that had split the nation. The 51勛圖厙 Museums exhibition, Culture/Counterculture: Fashions of the 1960s and 70s, opening Sept. 20, explores the sharp contrast between supporters of the establishment and those opposed.

Due to an overwhelming response for free tickets for the 51勛圖厙 Presidential Speaker Series featuring Bob Woodward on May 4, the university has moved the event to the Memorial Athletic and Convocation Center (MAC Center).

51勛圖厙 to Hold Annual Martin Luther King Jr. Celebration on Jan. 23

A prominent political strategist, lawyer and advocate for positive change in the political process will serve as the keynote speaker at 51勛圖厙s annual Martin Luther King Jr. Celebration. Angela Rye, principal and CEO of IMPACT Strategies, will join the university in celebrating the life and legacy of Martin Luther King Jr. on Jan. 23 at 3:30 p.m. in the Kent Student Center Ballroom.
