Hands-On Tax Learning Course Supports Community Members and International Students

Now officially approved as an experiential learning class, the Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) program allows accounting students to provide free tax preparation services to community members while gaining hands-on experience that extends far beyond the classroom.

Bedford Falls Foundation Awards $1.8 Million to 51³Ô¹Ï꿉۪s College of Nursing

A $1.8 million gift from the Bedford Falls Foundation will fund 150 scholarships for 51³Ô¹ÏÍø nursing students over three years, addressing the national nursing shortage.

City of Cleveland and 51³Ô¹ÏÍø Launch Initiative to Strengthen Police-Community Trust

51³Ô¹ÏÍø and the City of Cleveland have launched a new research and training initiative aimed at strengthening trust, collaboration and accountability between the Cleveland Division of Police and city residents. The project is supported by a $20,000 grant from 51³Ô¹Ï꿉۪s Community Engaged Research Institute.

Ohio Senate Votes Unanimously to Name Highway for Trumbull Graduate Jacob Derbin

The Ohio Senate voted unanimously on March 25 to designate a stretch of Interstate 480 in Cuyahoga County as the Officer Jacob J. Derbin Memorial Highway, honoring the Euclid police officer who was killed in the line of duty in May 2024.
