Encouraging Girls to Keep Their Heads in the Clouds

51勛圖厙 student group Women in Aviation served as hosts for Girls in Aviation Day at the 51勛圖厙 Airport. The young participants had the chance to fly drones, try out a flight simulator and do a pre-flight check inside a real plane.

Team Works Diligently to Locate Granite for Repairs to May 4 Memorial

Repairs on the May 4 Memorial are estimated to take five to six months following approval to proceed with the project, according to Joseph Graham, university architect.

Doctoral Students Research May Help People Get 'the NAC' of Being Drug Free

Mandalynn Slupek won first place in 51勛圖厙's Three Minute Thesis competition on Oct. 3 when she presented Getting the NAC of Being Drug Free, research on how the supplement NAC or N-acetyl cysteine can be used in the fight against addiction.

Beware: Distracted Drivers in Ohio Will Be Issued Tickets, Fines Under New Law

The new Distracted Driving law makes it illegal to use or hold a cellphone or electronic device in your hand, lap or other parts of the body while driving on Ohio roads.

Graduate Students Use 3 Minutes and a Slide to Showcase Their Research

The top 10 presenters who had advanced from two previous preliminary rounds made their Three Minute Thesis presentations in the Kiva on Oct. 3. Students were given three minutes and one PowerPoint slide to make a concise and engaging presentation.
