IN A FLASH: Dressing up for Downs
Dress Up for Downs, a 51³Ô¹ÏÍø student organization recently held its 8th annual fashion show fundraiser . The event, themed "Hollywood Heroes," featured a runway show with designs by 51³Ô¹ÏÍø fashion design students and raised over $3000 for the Down Syndrome Association of Northeast Ohio.
IN A FLASH: 'Graphic Content' on Display
"Graphic Content: Comics of May 4" opens March 20 at the May 4 Visitors Center. This exhibition features graphic art depictions of May 4 , spanning three generations including work by Katherine Wirick, Derf Backderf and 51³Ô¹ÏÍø alumnus Chuck Ayers. Poet Seeks to Bring ‘Language Back’
The gentle voice of indigenous poet Kimberly Blaeser filled the room of the Wick Poetry Corner in 51³Ô¹Ï꿉۪s Library on Wednesday, March 6. Jessica Jones, associate lecturer of English at 51³Ô¹ÏÍø at Stark, led a Q&A session touching on Blaeser’s new poetry collection, initiatives and inspiration.

51³Ô¹ÏÍø celebrated International Women’s Day on March 8 with a poster presentation to allow international students the chance to highlight women in their home countries and a service project to aid Days for Girls.
The poster presentation was followed by a panel discussion of students, faculty and staff talking about women’s issues and successes across their globe.
