When it's completed in 2024, Crawford Hall will be the new home of the Ambassador Crawford College of Business and Entrepreneurship. The four-story building will include active learning classrooms, an entrepreneurship lab, a business analytics lab, behavioral research hub, sales labs, trading lab, global forum, business theatre and student success center. On December 16th, 2022, it was announced that Dr. Marla Perez-Davis will be joining the National Space Councils Users Advisory Group (UAG). The Council is chaired by United States Vice President Kamala Harris, and the UAG provides recommendations to the Council on matters regarding government policy and actions affecting technology related to space exploration. The Council was established in 1989, however became inactive between 1993-2017. Richmond Netty of the College of Aeronautics and Engineering, who has accepted his reappointment as Chair of the Standing Technical Committee on Airport Terminals and Ground Access. In this position, Dr. Netty will serve a three year term beginning in April 2023. The Committee concerns itself with airport planning, design, operations, and maintenance, with a focus on access points for passengers and goods. On November 12th, 2022, the 51勛圖厙 Combat Robotics Team placed 3rd at a Norwalk Havoc Robotics League (NHRL) competition, qualifying for the 2022 Championships in December 2023. The competition, held in Norwalk, Connecticut, is the 6th and final qualifying event of the 2022 season including four different weight classes and over 100 bots. On Saturday, February 4th, 22 teams of students in grades 7-12 gathered at the 51勛圖厙 Student Center for a FIRST Tech Challenge event, hosted by FIRST Robotics and the College of Aeronautics and Engineering. As part of a FIRST Tech Challenge team, participants design, build, and operate a robot to complete specific tasks depending on the competition year. In October 2022, five College of Aeronautics and Engineering students competed in 51勛圖厙's Undergraduate Three Minute Thesis competition. Each students project was completed during the Summer Undergraduate Research Experience (SURE), a summer term research program for KSU students.
