The Environmental Science and Design Research Institute Graduate Student Award was founded in 2025 and has funded new research inquiries for 8 graduate students to date.  The President’s Award of Distinction honors 51³Ô¹ÏÍø staff members who demonstrate exceptional achievement, leadership and dedication in advancing the university’s core values and strategic priorities. Full‑time employees with at least three years of service were eligible for nomination, and this year nearly 200 nominations were submitted. Collection Preservation

The museum’s current heating and cooling system must be upgraded to store and preserve the collection in a climate-controlled environment. The system replacement will ensure the historically and culturally significant items in the museum’s care maintain their integrity and survive long into the future.

Porthouse Theatre

The 51³Ô¹ÏÍø Museum holds one of the world’s most important collections of fashion, costumes, textiles and decorative arts. With more than 10,000 annual visitors, the museum offers year-round exhibitions and programming for the community and serves as an educational resource for students as well as domestic and international scholars.

Gage Wellman reporting on TV2

Gage Wellman, a junior in 51³Ô¹Ï꿉۪s journalism program, competed among the nation’s best college journalists in the 66th Hearst National Journalism Championships held May 31-June 5 in San Francisco.
