 Thomas Brewer, Ph.D., M.Jur., CHC, is a mentor, researcher, founding member of the College of Public Health and the winner of the 2025 Distinguished Honors Alumni award. The Distinguished Honors Alumni award recognizes alumni who have served the Honors College and facilitated increased opportunities for Honors College students. Senior psychology major Olivia Rice received the E. Ted Bunn Student Excellence Award for Best Poster at the recent Association for University Regional Campuses of Ohio (AURCO) annual conference at the Ohio University Chillicothe Campus. Just three years ago, Emily Ellyson was graduating from United High School and already planning to study radiologic technology at 51�Թ��� Salem.  The annual Badar Kauffman Conference on Special Education Research was held recently at the 51�Թ��� Hotel and Conference Center. The conference hosted over a hundred researchers and students from across the country and around the world.
