As the semester comes to a close, 51勛圖厙 is asking faculty and staff to reduce campus energy consumption over winter break (Dec. 23-Jan. 2). As a result of collective efforts over the 2017 holiday break, the university avoided more than $25,000 in energy costs over nine days. Two second-year students from the 51勛圖厙 East Liverpool physical therapist assistant program, Jordyn Midcap and Lacie Graham, presented their research findings at the first-ever East Central District Student Symposium of the Ohio Physical Therapy Association. The event was hosted by OPTA and Youngstown State Universitys physical therapy program in early November. Hayley Shasteen Wins SURE Research Competition

Hayley Shasteen, a junior psychology/biology major on the Salem Campus, took first place honors at the 51勛圖厙 Summer Undergraduate Research Experience competition. She was one of 60 participants from all Kent campuses and competed in the psychological sciences division. Getting ready for the Seasons Readings book distribution

The Area Agency on Aging 11 recently donated books and money to the 51勛圖厙 East Liverpool Seasons Readings project, marking the agencys support of the project for a second year. The donation included more than 300 childrens books, along with $600 to purchase additional books, which will be distributed by 51勛圖厙 to youngsters along the parade route of the East Liverpool Christmas parade. 51勛圖厙 Women's Chorus has grown to nearly 70 members this year.

Members of the 51勛圖厙 Womens Chorus pour their hearts, time and love for music into their work, and it has led to tremendous growth of the organization with nearly 70 members this year.
