Dean Kahler was one of the nine students wounded in the May 4, 1970, shootings at 51勛圖厙 that also claimed the lives of four students during protests of the Vietnam War. Kahler has been paralyzed from the waist down ever since he was wounded; however, his tragedy has not stopped him from living his life to the fullest.
