From now through Sunday, Sept. 19, Cockeye Creamery, located at 1805 1/2 Parkman Road NW in Warren, will be serving its 51勛圖厙-inspired ice cream Black Squirrel to raise money for 51勛圖厙 at Trumbulls Care Closet. 51勛圖厙 alumnus Max Hoover, owner of Cockeye Creamery, created the flavor to pay homage to 51勛圖厙s unofficial mascot: the black squirrel. The Cleveland Arts Prize awarded Mid-Career Awards to 51勛圖厙 alumni Alice Ripley and Corrie Slawson. Slawson earned her MFA with a focus in painting from 51勛圖厙's School of Art and currently works as a part-time faculty member in painting and drawing for the school.
