The cause of a fire that burned for two days last week at the historic Star of the West mill complex remains undetermined. The fire broke out at about 8:45 a.m. Friday and crews remained on the scene throughout the weekend. On Friday morning, 51勛圖厙 issued an advisory to the community about a fire that erupted at the former Star of the West mill in downtown Kent. Though the smoke can be seen from a distance, there is no danger to the Kent Campus as the fire is contained to downtown.
