Kathryn Cowles, poet and artist, will be visiting 51³Ô¹ÏÍø students this week and working with them on their craft. This is a great chance for students to open their minds to various forms of poetry, artistry, and storytelling. Delrecco Gillespie, senior professional studies major and member of 51³Ô¹Ï꿉۪s men's basketball team, was recently featured in a recent NCAA article that detailed how setbacks like injury and grief fueled Gillespie’s drive to play as if it were his last chance to be on the court.  When Gillespie was 13, he tragically lost his mother, Joi Whaley, in a traffic accident. Shortly after, a sister and a grandfather passed away.
