Dinner with Friends (VIRTUAL)

Tuesday, Sept. 29, 2026 6 p.m. to 8 p.m.

Dinner with Friends is a program hosted by Civic and Community Engagement in the Center for Student Involvement, 51³Ô¹ÏÍø Votes, and Undergraduate Student Government that is designed to connect different members of our community—students, faculty, and staff—through engaging, facilitated conversations over dinner. The program’s core idea isn’t about being an expert on any given subject or even producing a plan at the end of the conversation but instead prioritizes the act of conversing and building connections with people you might not ordinarily meet.

We'll spend the evening connecting and learning about each other’s experiences. The program will consist of four facilitated small group conversations, each of which will be lightly organized around one of four different topics that will be announced closer to the program date. In the past topics included Responding to food insecurity, Supporting mental health in challenging times, Finding community on campus and beyond, and Advancing environmental sustainability.

Guests will join virtually and are welcome to bring dinner with them to the virtual event. Registration is limited. Due to the nature of the program, participants must commit to being present for the entire event when registering.
